2010 Audi TT9KV52PN6K3Y2
The 2010 Audi TT ranks 9 out of 9 Luxury Sports Cars. This ranking is based on our analysis of 44 published reviews and test drives of the Audi TT, and our analysis of reliability and safety data.
The 2010 Audi TT is attractive, luxurious and sporty. However, many of its rivals provide greater sports performance. "For those interested in a little sport coupe or convertible that offers luxury, style and all-weather traction, the 2010 Audi TT won't disappoint," writes Edmunds. "However, those in search of a true sports car should probably look elsewhere."
Compared to other luxury sports cars, the 2010 Audi TT is no back-road burner. It is, however, an enticing choice. In addition to its unique, attention-grabbing exterior design, the 2010 Audi TT features a lavish interior cabin and standard all-wheel drive system. It may not hold its own in street races, but the 2010 Audi TT's balanced handling dynamics make it comfortable to drive on a daily basis. "Audi TT is a luxury tourer that's closer to being a true sports car than the previous generation was, especially in TTS trim," writes Consumer Guide. "While Porsche's Boxster and Cayman might ultimately be sportier, the TT's more civilized demeanor might be just the thing for more casual motoring."

Aston Martin One-77: 750 HP
Aston Martin has revealed that the naturally aspirated, 7.3 liter V12 engine in the Aston Martin One-77 will develop 750bhp & 553lb/ft of torque.
You expect a lot when a car costs £1,150,000 plus tax. So the Aston Martin One-77 needs to be special. After all, at that price, you can have your pick of any current car. The best that Pagani has to offer is there on your shopping list and, although your £1.15 million may not quite stretch to a Bugatti Veyron Supersport, it’s damn close.
But when it comes to winning hearts, Aston Martin has a head start on this in the looks department. It is the most glorious of the crop of Hypercars the world’s car makers produce.
Yes, there is an elemental lust for the technical marvel that is the Veyron. You can feel the heart and soul of Horacio Pagani in every Zonda that hits the road, and the stealth fighter visage of the Lamborghini Reventon certainly stirred a few souls. But none look as good as the Aston Martin One-77.
Thankfully, the naturally aspirated 7.3 litre V12 engine in the One-77 also looks as if it will be not just be a beautiful creation, but a powerful one too. Aston Martin has revealed that the One-77 will develop 750bhp and 750Nm of torque (that’s 553lb/ft in old money), making it the most powerful naturally aspirated engine in production.

Porsche 911 Speedster arrives
The 2011 Porsche 911 Speedster will debut at the Paris Motor Show. Based on 911 Cabriolet with power from the 911 GTS, just 356 are being built.
We were beginning to think that Porsche would keep the Porsche 911 Speedster under wraps until the Paris Motor Show kicks off proper next week. But in the end they couldn’t resist unveiling the big brother to the Porsche Boxster Spyder (a Speedster in all but name) with a week to go ’til Paris.
We’ve been expecting the first 911 Speedster from Porsche in almost a generation since we first reported back in June that we would see the Porsche 911 Speedster rocking in for Paris, along with the 911 GTS. We had the 911 GTS last week so all we have left to get detail on from our June story is a Cayman Spyder.
The 911 Speedster comes much as expected. It gets the extra power the new 911 GTS gets (that’s 402bhp and 310lb’ft of torque) and is based on the latest 911 Cabriolet complete with wider wheel housings. The windscreen is more steeply raked – and it’s shorter than in other 911s – and of course the double-bubble hump we know from the last 911 Speedster. Standard kit will include Ceramic Brakes, PDK and adaptive damping
Just like its little brother – the Boxster Spyder – it’s probably best to think of the 911 Speedster as a California car. Not just because of the James Dean connotations (although Dean didn’t actually kill himself in a Speedster, contrary to popular belief), but because the 911 Speedster gets the same sort of flimsy, origami-looking roof as the Boxster Spyder. It’ll do the job if pushed, but the 911 Speedster is a sunshine car.
In essence the 911 Speedster is a ‘Limited Edition’ Porsche, released to celebrate 25 years of Porsche Exclusive (which is how Porsche relieves buyers of big chunks of cash for ‘Personalisation’).
So the Speedster gets some input from Porsche Exclusive with an extra chin spoiler, blackened headlight surrounds, tinted indicators lenses and GT3-look air vents behind the back wheel arches. The interior also sports black leather and key elements from Porsche’s Exclusive range.
Just 356 Porsche 911 Speedsters are being built and the Euro price is €200k+, which means the 911 Speedster will probably arrive in the UK with an OTR price approaching £150k - GT2 RS territory.

Porsche Cayman - What the Auto Press Says
The 2010 Porsche Cayman ranks 2 out of 9 Luxury Sports Cars. This ranking is based on our analysis of 55 published reviews and test drives of the Porsche Cayman, and our analysis of reliability and safety data.
In addition to being sexy, powerful and agile, the 2010 Porsche Cayman features two cargo holds that add a bit of practicality to the mix. Not surprisingly, the Porsche Cayman is named one of Car and Driver's "10Best" cars for 2010.

The 2010 Porsche Cayman is a fixed-roof version of the highly-acclaimed Porsche Boxster. Praised for its strong powertrain options and superb handling, as well as its sleek exterior design and superb interior finish, the 2010 Porsche Cayman is a popular choice among luxury sports cars. "This is the sort of car that you wear like a tailored suit," writes the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel "The driver's seat envelops you, the steering wheel, pedals and shifter are placed where you expect to find them, and the car feeds back marvelous tactile sensations that are rare and special in the driving experience."

Lotus Elise - What the Auto Press Says
The 2010 Lotus Elise ranks 2 out of 9 Luxury Sports Cars. This ranking is based on our analysis of 46 published reviews and test drives of the Lotus Elise, and our analysis of reliability and safety data.
The 2010 Lotus Elise is everything you’d want in a performance-tuned track racer, but not a luxury sports car. Drivers of the Lotus Elise buy it for only one reason: to burn rubber. "This roadster is for those who want a street-legal go-kart, as many weight-reducing measures-such as a lack of creature comforts-endow it with rare agility and race-car-like performance," writes Car and Driver.
2011 Chevrolet Corvette

in Luxury Sports Cars
Based on analysis of 76 Corvette reviews and test drives.

The 2011 Chevrolet Corvette ranks 1 out of 9 Luxury Sports Cars. This ranking is based on our analysis of 76 published reviews and test drives of the Chevrolet Corvette, and our analysis of reliability and safety data.
Equipped with a 430-horsepower V8 engine and the ability to blast from 0 to 60 mph in just over four seconds, the 2011 Chevrolet Corvette is equipped to battle with high-end exotics -- only it’s more practical and affordable. Not surprisingly, the Corvette is an American legend.
Since its introduction in 1953, the Chevrolet Corvette has combined sexy styling with high-end performance that still rivals the greatest (and most expensive) of sports cars. "Although it hasn't been entirely modernized -- leaf springs, anyone? -- General Motors has whittled away at the car's rough edges for well over half a century, and the result is one of the best all-around performance cars for the money," writes Car and Driver.
Reviewers praise the 2011 Chevrolet Corvette for its straight forward controls, large cargo hold (in the coupe) and great fuel economy. However, it isn't perfect. Critics point out that the 2011 Chevrolet Corvette's competitors offer more refined interior accommodations. Also, like most sports cars, its low-slung exterior design makes entering and exiting the cabin a challenge. Still, Chevrolet Corvette's awesome performance abilities overshadow these complaints.

No future for the mid-engine Corvette
With GM facing well-publicized challenges -- along with just about everyone else who needs a little thing called money -- certain high-profile and expensive programs are crowding up on the back burner. Even America's sports car, the Corvette, is not exempt, with CAFE regulations clouding the view inside the 'Vette Nation's crystal ball. Motor Trend, commenting on the C7 Corvette's delayed arrival, has said that the new coupe won't appear until the 2014 model year at the earliest. The mid-engined route has also been scrapped, since it would simply cost too much to re-engineer the entire car for the purpose of easier integration of fuel saving tech like cylinder deactivation. That means a six-cylinder is still being talked about -- by GM outsiders only, at this point -- as an option for the C7. If we take the Camaro as an example, that 2014 introduction date could mean late 2012, but that still only gives you four years to mentally prepare for a budget- and economy-minded V6 Corvette. Get cracking.
